2011 Summer Equine & Diva Camps were held in Meriwether County and drew children from Columbus and Talbotton! Good Shepherd Riding Academy partnered with us for two week long camps to boost confidence in children while they learned about horses, barn management, horsemanship and teamwork.
Camps included both special needs children, special ed and typical students from Meriwether County.
Diva Camp drew 12 young ladies ages 10-13 who learned a different 'spin' on the word, 'Diva.' we learned it means to be a woman of Determination, Integrity, Vitality and Accountability. The week focused on Volunteerism, Community Service and Personal Worth.

Campers from Deaf Blind Ascess of Georgia spent an afternoon at Good Shepherd Therapeutic Center in Warm Springs, Georgia petting animals and riding horses.
SOH partnered with GSTC as they hosted Summer Special Olympics campers.
